DECISION NOT TO IMPOSE WATER RESTRICTIONS
Goldenfields Water has decided not to impose Level A restrictions during daylight savings as it has historically done. This decision is due to water allocations being at 100% and year to date usage being within reasonable limits.
Goldenfields Water Customers connected to its Oura, Jugiong, Mt Arthur and Hylands Bridge systems are advised that no water restrictions are in force until further notice.
This includes customers in the townships and villages of Junee, Illabo, Bethungra, Marrar, Temora, Ariah Park, Mirrool, Beckom, Ardlethan, West Wyalong, Wyalong, Barmedman, Calleen, Ungarie, Coolamon, Ganmain, Matong, Grong Grong, Barellan and Binya and all rural customers in the surrounding areas. It also includes customers east of (but not including) Temora township and including the villages of Springdale, Stockinbingal, and Wallendbeen and surrounding areas and Goldenfields Water rural customers within Cootamundra Shire.
This also applies to Goldenfields Water Customers connected to the Mt Daylight system including the villages of Tallimba, Weethalle, Naradhan, and rural customers in the surrounding areas.
Council is aware of the availability of water and will monitor consumption. Should consumption increase more than anticipated then Council may apply restrictions.
Customers are reminded to use water responsibly.
