Farmers and agricultural contractors should note that the next drumMUSTER collection

day for 2017 is scheduled for Tuesday 9th May 2017. Bookings are essential and can be

made by phoning Council on 6940 2100. Only triple rinsed agricultural and veterinary

containers can be returned.

The drumMUSTER depot at the Cootamundra Waste Depot has been relocated, with

entry now via the main access gate and weighbridge off Turners Lane.

Residents of Cootamundra, Wallendbeen and Stockinbingal are advised that Council

will be undertaking the green waste kerbside collection from 8th May to 12th May


Green waste is to be placed neatly stacked, without obstruction to pedestrians, in

front of your residence (not laneways) the week starting Sunday 7th May 2017 and

will be collected on the same day as your normal garbage service for this week only.

(If your green waste has not been collected on your garbage day, please leave it kerbside

as it will be collected by council staff by the end of the week).

All loose waste must be secured with string or placed in cardboard boxes. Plastic

bags are not to be utilised and will not be collected. Refer to Council’s website for

items not eligible for collection.


Work on the reconstruction of Gobarralong Road has recommenced following recent

wet weather. Currently works are reshaping the pavement, which will be followed by

full width pavement remixing and then preparation for sealing in the coming weeks.

The bridge repairs on Back Station Creek Road has now seen the bridge girders

installed with work now progressing onto the new bridge deck. Maintenance grading

is underway on Snowball Road.

Back Brawlin Road has now been sealed, with delineation and signage yet to be

installed. Over the next two weeks Council crews will again be undertaking heavy

patching on failed sections of pavement along the Burley Griffi n Way between

Wallendbeen and Stockinbingal. While these works are underway, motorists can

expect short delays and are requested to abide by the directions of the traffi c control.

Council’s resealing contractor, Boral, has completed resealing works at the

Cootamundra Aerodrome.

Roadside slashing and spraying is underway along Muttama Road and around the

Burra area.

The Gundagai main street redevelopment is still progressing.


Berthong Road will be closed between.7:00am Friday 19th May to 6:00pm Saturday 20th

May 2017. Detours via West Jindalee and Racecourse Roads
